In line with the celebration of the Month of Overseas Filipinos and the International Migrants’ Day, the Philippine Embassy in Madrid and OWWA cordially invite you to a cineforum on December 16, 2010, 7 p.m.  at the POLO/OWWA Office, Calle Alcala 149 2B, Madrid, Spain.   The Cineforum will feature films that tackle Philippine migration, overseas Filipinos and other related issues. The activity seeks to raise awareness on issues attendant to migration, intermarriage, among others.

Fidel tells the story of an OFW who was raped by his employer. Enraged with what happened, Fidel kills the employer and lands himself on death row. But reporters learned about Fidel’s past — a boy-next-door type who grew up with a loving family, a profile that doesn’t fit the picture of a killer. However, Fidel insists that he killed his employer on purpose.
