WHO CAN VOTE?
Anyone over 16 who resides in Barcelona, regardless of their origin.
QUESTION POSED
“Do you agree that Catalonia becomes a democratic and independent state where law and social justice prevail, integrated in the European Union?”
You may vote YES, NO or BLANK.
DATE OF THE REFERENDUM
April 10th 2011 (9:00AM – 8:00PM)
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
− National Identity Card (DNI) for nationals.
− Certificate of citizenship of the European Union for EU citizens.
− Foreign Resident Identification Number (NIE) for legally residing non-EU citizens.
− Town Hall Registration Certificate (Padró) and identification document for people in an irregular administrative situation.
Important:
If you reside in Barcelona but your address in the city does not figure on your documents, you will need to present your Town Hall Registration certificate (Padró). This certificate can be obtained at any Citizen Attention Office (OAC), by phone (010) or on the Internet at the following address:

On April 10th at the polling stations, information of which may be found at Barcelona Decideix’s webpage. Before April 10th at the collection points of early voting, everywhere in the city.
