Father Avelino Sapida, Filipino Personal Parish priest of Barcelona, has had a very good reason to smile these past weeks as he was received by none other than the top man of our country, Philippine President Benigno Aquino III, last February 16, 2011 at Malacañang. This visit came just after Fr. Avel was given a citation in Congress for his award in Barcelona last December 18, 2010, the Premi Consell d’Immigració. This award honours Father Avel’s 25 years of untiring service to the Filipino migrant community in Barcelona. In the photo (from left) Thezz Saulog, Fr.
