Flowers for Pepe

1 Jul

Mr. Exequiel Sabarillo from the Knights of Rizal talks about the life of the national hero before Filipino and Spanish participants.

Barcelona and Madrid Consuls General Eduardo Jose de Vega and Celia Anna Feria, holding the Philippine flag, with the staff of the Philippine embassy in Madrid and the Knights of Rizal laid a wreath on the replica of the Rizal monument to commemorate the 148th birth anniversary of  Jose Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda.

They did not close the event by reciting ‘Mi Último Adiós’ (though it was also included in the program) but instead sang ‘Bayan Ko’ (My Country), a Filipino patriotic song.
